I was inspired to write this song from parents of young girls. They would express their hopes in raising their daughters into confident women. They expressed how they wanted to instil a new sense of what beauty should be. In short, they want their girls to put less importance into hair, make up, body image, and clothes and more energy and time into developing their sense of self and self worth, developing good character, good work ethics, and to be bolder and self assured. This is my wish for all the girls out there as well.
